5 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari

This 5-day Rwanda gorilla safari is an exceptional package to trek the Rwanda gorillas thrice. The trip gives you a chance to trek 3 different gorilla families in Volcanoes National Park with African Jungle Adventures. Other activities in this safari include golden monkey trekking, nature walks, Dian Fossey graveyard hike, and city tours. The trip starts and ends in Kigali, Rwanda.

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Day 2: First Gorilla Trek and Community walk
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trek, Nature walk
Day 4: Third Gorilla Trek, another community walk
Day 5: Golden Monkey Tracking Or Mount Bishoke Hiking, or Hike to Dian Fossey Tombs and Leave For Kigali

Meet at the hotel in Kigali or at the airport, then transfer to the city for a tour of the Genocide Memorial Museum before proceeding to Parc National des Volcans, home of gorillas. Settle in Sabyinyo Silverback lodge, Virunga Lodge, Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge, Hotel la Palme, Muhabura hotel, or Kinigi guest house as we wait for dinner and overnight.

Early morning, set off for gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park. Gorilla Trekking through the light mountain forest of the Virunga is a wonderful lifetime experience. Sightseeing and staying with these giant apes is one hour. Return to the Lodge for Lunch, take an afternoon walk to nearby cultural villages. Some gorilla families, however, are elusive, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy. Time permitting, we can take an evening community walk to Musanze local market and interact with local people, overnight at your previous lodge as we wait for dinner.

This is your opportunity to see gorillas for the second time in Rwanda’s spectacular Parc National des Volcans. You can visit the same or a different gorilla family from the previous day. In the evening, we can take a walk to the beautiful twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. All meals and overnight at your previous lodge.

Wake up early for another gorilla trek in Rwanda. In the evening, we can take another walk to nearby cultural villages.

Have breakfast at the hotel and proceed for another adventurous trek to visit the golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park. Alternatively, we can explore the Musanze caves, the Dian Fossey Grave Site, or hike Mt. Bisoke. Retire for lunch, then transfer back to Kigali, where the tour ends.
